Model School Libraries

School libraries play an important role in supporting the acquisition of foundational literacy skills such as phonic and phonemic awareness, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary building and writing skills.

LIBRARIES TRANSFORM

Project Angaza

A school library model targeting ASAL regions, with a one anchor school installed with a model library, where satellite schools can also access the reading materials through borrowing.

Reading Through Play

The RTP project incorporates reading and playing, where children apply different reading methods using play. These include; dramatization, story building, role plays and sports, immersion, demonstration, and approximation. Constantly exposing reading materials to the learner allows them to observe and apply knowledge to the situation.
