The ongoing education crisis in Kenya has left children with little to do as parents ponder their next move after schools were shut down. However, a timely initiative over the weekend saw students get a rare chance to interact with prominent personalities at the Storymoja Festival. Robert Godec, Auma Obama, Jeff Koinange, Ann McCreath, John Sibi Okumu and Michela Wrong talked to students about different issues affecting education. Dr Obama said creating safe spaces for children is key if they are to learn to take responsibility and become instrumental in decision making in future.
